Celebrant makes it their best day

Sometimes as a celebrant there are small problems that most people outside the industry never hear of.

Inner city weddings require a fair bit of luck when it comes to arriving on time. Let me explain further. Many city venues do not have a parking area for Celebrants and so we are left with the dilemma of finding a spot.

I was in a similar position recently and had just about given up hope of finding somewhere to park. I had been around a particular block three times and was just about to give up and take the desperate step of parking where I knew I would probably be fined. That is always preferable to disappointing a bride and so I was driving into a restricted zone when a couple who had been dining nearby noticed my plight and cut their meal short and offered me the parking spot they were about to vacate.

Apparently they gave up coffee and dessert to help me. I must have had Celebrant plastered across my forehead.

I was so grateful that I could have kissed them.
